I LOVE watching TV in the computer. I’d missed the last two Grey’s because of school commitments, so I got caught up today. Whoa. I love that show. The characterizations is amazing.
While doing revisions I’ve learned I have a problem showing emotion instead of telling it. During Grey’s I found myself writing the scenes as if they were in a book, and I think I’m going to try that more often. The actions are there, the words are there, I just have to make it as clear on the page as it is on the screen. Pretty good writing exercise, I hope.
I thought I was done with revisions when I closed the computer this morning.
My middle is choppy. I’m happy with the beginning and the end, I think. I woke up this morning with a new end in mind, so I fixed that. Now the middle needs some fleshing out. This patience thing is TOUGH STUFF when there’s a request sitting on my table.
Confession: I like over half the songs on the new Britney album. I’m such a kid.
Revised to add: UGH. The revisions is soooo not done. My romantic conflict is completely missing on the page for three full chapters. Emotional intensity is too. UGH!!!!! I fixed the first problem chapter, but the next one needs a ton of help. I finally put it to the side because I couldn’t think straight. BUMMER! I wanted to be done. On a bright note, there was a time I would’ve already sent the manuscript in and been doomed to rejection.
