I’m not sure how I missed this book in all my English work, but I did.
Several of my students have claimed it as their favorite this year, so I decided I had to read it to see what was causing such rave reviews.
WOW. It was awesome. I’m sure the current war has something to do with my students’ reactions, but even if the war weren’t going on, I’d recommend this book. The back cover says it’s a tear jerker that won’t allow tears and a comedy that won’t allow laughter. Both comments are true.
It’s definitely not a happy ending book, but it certainly made me thankful!
My new desktop computers are set up in my classroom and we’re three pages away from being caught up on our yearbook deadline! Monday we’ll be ahead for the first time all year. WOO HOO!
I fought working Saturdays until a month ago. This was the second Saturday I’ve worked and it’s absolutely worth it.
My local RWA chapter’s web redesign is up. http://www.rrrw.org
